How do I choose my course? +
Choose your qualification, subject and exam board, plus the relevant tier or course route where applicable.

Not yet. StudyQs is currently in soft launch, and we're adding GCSE and A-level science content course by course.

Content & Specification
Why does StudyQs sometimes have less information than my textbook? +
Textbooks often include extra examples, background information and enrichment to help explain a topic.
StudyQs is deliberately more focused. We work from the official specification and concentrate on what you need to know and apply for your course, while separating this from information that would normally be supplied in a question.

Does less unnecessary content mean the questions are easier? +
No. Exams can still require precise recall, calculations, explanations, comparisons and unfamiliar application.
StudyQs removes unnecessary content, not exam difficulty. The aim is to practise the knowledge and skills your course actually requires.

Practice & Marking
What are the different types of practice? +
- 🧠 Flashcards: Try to recall the answer yourself before revealing it, then rate how well you remembered it.
- ⚡ Multiple Choice: Quick, automatically marked questions covering recall, calculations and application.
- ✍️ Written Questions: Type your own exam-style answer and see which mark points you earned and what you missed.
How are Written Questions marked? +
Your answer is checked against the mark points for that question.
The feedback shows which points earned credit and which important points were missing, so you can see how to improve your answer.

Are Written Questions only long 6-mark questions? +
No. Written Questions can be short or extended.
Depending on the topic, you might be asked for a definition, calculation, explanation, comparison, evaluation or a longer exam-style response.

Progress without the Panic
Why can't I see hundreds of overdue questions? +
StudyQs deliberately avoids overwhelming overdue backlogs.
Your previous answers and recall still matter, but the goal is to give you a manageable amount of useful revision rather than showing you a giant list of everything you haven't done.

Just come back and carry on.
StudyQs keeps your previous practice history and gives you useful work when you return. You don't need to clear several days of missed tasks first.

XP is a simple measure of the revision you've completed.
You can use it as a manageable daily target. It measures activity and progress inside StudyQs — it isn't a prediction of your exam grade.
